Description

This service relates to the provision of a community vasectomy service. The service will provide safe non-scalpel vasectomy under local anaesthetic (LA) in a primary/community care setting in accordance with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists - Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare Clinical Guidance - Male & Female Sterilisation (2014). The Provision of Non-Scalpel Vasectomy Service described in this questionnaire and the draft specification, relates to the GM ICB intention to establish a contract agreement for up to a number of three years with the option to extend for an additional two years, with an indicative budget of £325 per patient and an estimated yearly value of up to £650,000 dependant on activity levels with an estimated overall total contract value of up to £3,250,000, including extensions.
