NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB) is seeking to secure a provider who has the capacity and capability to deliver Children's BCG Community Services (0-1 years) across the Oxfordshire footprint. The community service supports an integrated Children's BCG Pathway. The service is a community targeted childhood BCG immunisation Service for children 0-1years. The service is open to all eligible children 0-1 years services, registered with an Oxfordshire ICB GP, resident in Oxfordshire Local Authority or attending an Oxfordshire school. Children born outside of local maternity provision (movers in) or not eligible at birth can access the community service. Eligibility for immunisation is to be assessed at HCP core contacts, including registration / transfer in contacts. Appointments or clinics will be offered on a countywide basis to increase accessibility, A minimum of two follow up clinic appointments will be offered. Children who fail to attend three times are referred back to the referrer and GP. The service applies equally to all infants registered or resident in Oxfordshire for whom a health visiting service is provided, up to one year of age, whose NBS screening results are not available, whether they were born in England, other countries of the UK, or born abroad. For some infants, NBS screening is inadvertently not carried out or the results are missing. Babies born outside England may have been screened as part of routine screening in their country of birth, but not for all those conditions routinely screened for if born in England.
