Description

Cheshire East Council is seeking a contractor to supply, plant and maintain approximately 46,000 trees/shrubs across two Council owned sites, Mill Lane, Byley Lane – Goostrey (Gross 31.90 ha, planting area 17.27 ha), and Coole Pilate, Coole Lane – Nantwich (Gross 5.51 ha, planting area 3.5 ha). Full details of the service requirements, including the specific mix of tree species required, is detailed in the specification that is attached to the project.

Total Quantity or Scope

Cheshire East Council is seeking a contractor to supply and plant approximately 46,000 trees/shrubs across two Council owned sites, Mill Lane, Byley Lane – Goostrey (Gross 31.90 ha, planting area 17.27 ha), and Coole Pilate, Coole Lane – Nantwich (Gross 5.51 ha, planting area 3.5 ha). The contractor will also be expected to carry out maintenance of the site/trees. The initial contract period is 41 months with 1 x 12 month optional extension. Full details of the service requirements, including the required specific mix of tree species, is detailed in the specification that is attached to the project.

Renewal Options

The initial contract period is 41 months, with 1 x 12-month option to extend Therefore, the optional extension maybe taken up for the period 1st April 2028 up to 31st March 2029. The optional extension will be exercised at the discretion of the Council, in line with the Contractual terms.
