Description

First phase of the restoration of the Victorian Cast Iron Terraces on Madeira Drive Brighton including repairs to the retaining wall and decking, installation of a new public lift and stairway.

Total Quantity or Scope

The restricted tender process intially decsribed a scope of 40 arches, associated deck, retaining wall repairs and delivery of a new lift. The shortlisting exercise at SQ returned 4 successfully shortlisted bidders. Due to inflation the scope of the project was reduced to 28 arches, associated deck, retaining wall repairs and delivery of a new lift.
