There are significant works to be undertaken internally and externally, the building is generally in poor condition with widespread defects and water ingress. External works will include a full replacement of the roof system. The external façade is undergoing a number of varying repair methods such as stone restoration, cleaning and structural repairs. Existing windows and doors will be replaced with new double-glazed units. Work packages such as mechanical and electrical will make up a large percentage of the total build. The Council intends to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced management contractor to undertake the management, co-ordination, and delivery of a package of works for improvements to the Hall.
