Description
This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform the market of NHS Frimley Integrated Care Boards (the Commissioner’s), intention to commission a pilot for the provision of Infant Social Prescribers. The Commissioner would like to understand the level of provider interest in delivering these services. The contract duration will be for 2 years commencing 1 April 2025The service provision will cover Bracknell Forest, North East Hampshire and Farnham, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and Surrey Heath. This exercise is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
Total Quantity or Scope
Frimley ICB are seeking to commission an organisation, who has experience in recruiting and training individuals with lived experiences to become Infant Social Prescribers. The Infant Social Prescribers will improve access to early and appropriate support for parents/carers of infants under the age of 1 years with respiratory conditions. To improve health outcomes, they will be required to offer practical support and (where necessary) signposting to parents/carers residing in the local authorities of Bracknell Forest, North East Hampshire and Farnham, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and Surrey Heath. These individuals must be recruited from Frimley's under-reached local communities. The service provider must have an excellent knowledge of the communities that they will be serving.
