The Children and Young People's Weight Management Service in Hertfordshire offers a comprehensive program designed to support children and young people in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. This service includes a 'Healthy Lifestyle Programme' that provides personalised support to help participants make sustainable lifestyle changes. The program focuses on educating families about nutrition, physical activity, and healthy habits, ensuring that children and young people receive the guidance they need to lead healthier lives. Please note: the Value in II.1.7 below is for the Core Period of three (3) years inclusive of the option to extend for up to four (4) further years, year on year
Total Quantity or Scope
Participants in the program benefit from a combination of one-on-one coaching, group sessions, and digital support. The service is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and their family, offering practical advice and strategies to manage weight effectively. In addition to the structured program, the service provides access to various resources and tools to help families stay on track. These include meal planning guides, exercise routines, and educational materials on healthy eating. By addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of weight management, the Children and Young People's Weight Management Service in Hertfordshire aims to foster long-term health and well-being for its participants The Council is intending to award this Contract to our existing provider following Direct Award Process C under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) The Contract will commence on the 21st September 2024 and will be for a three (3) year core period with the option to extend for up to a further four (4) years, year on year. The approximate life time value of this Contract is as stated in II.1.7 above

For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 20th September 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
