Description

COVID Medicines Delivery Unit (CMDU) is to provide antiviral treatment to patients who test positive for COVID-19 and are at highest risk of complications of the disease. The treatments are clinically proven to improve patient outcomes and reduce COVID-19 related hospital admissions.

COVID Medicines Delivery Units (CMDUs) provide antiviral treatment to patients who test positive for COVID-19 and are at highest risk of complications of the disease. The treatments are clinically proven to improve patient outcomes and reduce COVID-19 related hospital admissions. This notice is to confirm that an urgent award of contract was made due to the urgency of the service provision as notice was received from University Hospitals Northamptonshire (UHN) to advise that they intended to cease providing the service. NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) undertook a procurement process and awarded a contract to LLR Patient Care Locally (CIC) and NHS Northamptonshire ICB is an associate to the contract. LLR ICB are publishing a modification notice to confirm Northamptonshire ICB as associate to the contract. The lifetime value of the contract is £228,039. Service contract period is 17th June 2024 to 31st March 2025.
