This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is intended to notify the market of the Market Engagement event only. This PIN is NOT a call for competition. NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board (hereafter referred to as "the Authority") invites suitably qualified providers to attend a virtual Market Engagement event which will inform the market of the Authority's intention to undertake a procurement process for the provision of an Integrated Community Dermatology Service. The Authority has published this PIN to support market engagement for this Integrated Community Dermatology Service only.

Total Quantity or Scope

There are currently multiple pathways into Dermatology Services due to historic commissioning arrangements made by five separate Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). The Authority was established in July 2022, superseding the CCGs. The Authority aims to address the health inequalities across the system by implementing a new single service that will ensure an equitable service and support early diagnosis and intervention for patients. The Authority aims to implement a single integrated community dermatology service across Mid and South Essex. The service will be Consultant led and will provide a single point of access into all Dermatology pathways, supported by teledermatology. The service will see and treat those appropriate to be seen in the community service and ensure that any urgent suspected cancer, or urgent/red flag conditions are referred promptly into secondary care. The service will ensure that patients are seen by the right person at the right time on the correct pathway. The service will deliver face to face care across a number of community locations to enable patients to receive care closer to home. The service will prevent avoidable secondary care attendances through the use of rapid consultant triage and ability to see and treat patients who do not require acute care. The Market Engagement event will take place virtually via MS Teams on Wednesday 09th October 2024 from 14:00hrs to 15:00hrs. The event will offer an opportunity to engage with stakeholders and for prospective service providers to learn more about the service. The procurement process and timetable will also be shared. The service that this Prior Information Notice (PIN) relates is within scope of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). The Authority is bound only by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply.
