This is a notice to inform the market of the intention to award a contract for Early Intervention in Eating Disorders Service for the population of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire via the Most Suitable Provider Process

Total Quantity or Scope

The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Paragraph 10 - The Most Suitable Provider Process is being used to commission this service. This notice will be live for fourteen (14) days from the date of publication. This is a notice to inform the market of the intention to award a contract for for Early Intervention in Eating Disorders Service for the population of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The aim of the service is to provide assessment and intervention for mild to moderate eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours via a range of evidence-based therapies, guided self-help, peer and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis. The Provider should be able to evidence that they are: A single provider who will work in an integrated way with local Mental health Trusts to deliver an early intervention eating disorder service. Provider to be locally based with the ability to deliver the service to patients within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Deliver services in line with NICE guidance and work closely with several academic organisations such as the University of Nottingham to develop and deliver innovation within eating disorder pathways. Signed up to Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS) data submissions or can be ready to ahead of contract start. Able to provide the face to face care, alongside virtual and telephony services to registered patients within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Provider staff are experienced and have received training, supervision and are able to deliver CBT-E. The estimated value of the contract is £724,000 for a four year contract.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The award decision maker will be the Chief Executive in line with the ICB's Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
