Description
The provision of operating multi-storey car parks, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, including customer contact and the maintenance of car park equipment.
Total Quantity or Scope
The Council seek to extend the current contract with Parksafe Systems Ltd. Additional information: Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition in OJEU as the procurement falls outside the scope of application of the directive. The Council will observe a 10 day standstill period.

Legal Justification
Parksafe Systems are an exclusive supplier and operator of the security systems in place at both car parks. Bold Lane car park currently enjoys a reputation for being one of the safest car parks in the world. Re-tendering for a new supplier would mean the security measures in place could be compromised and any new supplier would likely lead to a significant revenue investment requirement from the Council as new infrastructure would be needed.
