Description

Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service (NOUS) used to detect changes in the look, size or outline of tissues and vessels or to detect abnormal masses. This is a zero-based contract based on activity and national tariff. The contract expenditure for 2023/24 was c.£500,000. This notice is for a Direct Award C PSR process to commence from 18th October 2024 for 15 months bringing the lifetime value of the contract to the value of c. £625,000. Under the test for considerable change this is within the permitted criteria (not exceeding £500,000 and 25%).

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 17th of October 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. In this case, no conflicts were declared by any members of the ICB's Finance and Performance Committee. Relative importance and rationale for the relative importance of the key criteria, and the rationale for choosing the provider with reference to the key criteria: The term of an existing contract (including Modification) is due to expire xx/10/2024 and the ICB is proposing a new contract to replace this at the end of its term. The contracting arrangements are not changing considerably from the existing contract. The key criteria and basic selection criteria have been applied.
