Description
The University of Warwick intend to go out to tender for emergency glazing and boarding up works including supply and insulation of associated materials. The scope of work shall be across the University, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The objective of a boarding up/making safe visit shall be firstly to protect the university users from the dangers of broken or unsafe glass and secondly to provide, as far as possible, security and weather tightness, until re-glazing can be carried out.
Total Quantity or Scope
The University of Warwick is seeking for a Contractor with the appropriate capabilities and right competences to deliver emergency glazing, boarding up services, supply and installation of glass doors and windows across the University including it's Stratford Innovation Campus in Wellesbourne. Works requirement is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the 365 days a year. The successful Contractor is expected to carry out boarding up, making safe visit to protect the University's users from the dangers of broken or unsafe glasses and provide security and weather protection until the glazing work is completed. All external glazing is to be wind and watertight on completion. All glazing must be left clean and free of scratches on completion. All in line with Building regulations, like for like replacements.
