Description
To deliver platform support to maintain the capability of MOD Boats permanently based at locations outside the United Kingdom. Further details on all of the BISS 26 requirements can be found at Section VI.3) Additional Information to this Contract Notice.
Total Quantity or Scope
To deliver in-service support to all MOD Boats permanently based at locations outside the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, including but not limited to Gibraltar, Cyprus, British Indian Ocean Territory, Brunei, Falkland Islands and Ascension Island. This requirement is anticipated to consist of boats of the following classes: 8m Ferry Boat *1 14m Police Launch *1 15m Police Launch *1 Arctic 24 *3 Arctic 28 *5 Army Workboat *1 Avon Searider 5.4m *4 Combat Support Boat *3 Dive Support Boat (DSB) *3 Hard Hull Riverine Craft (HHRC) *13 Offshore Raiding Craft (ORC) (ALL) *2 Pacific 24 Mk 3 *10 Pacific 24 Mk 4 *10 Personal Water Craft *2 Police Patrol Craft *2 Rigid Raider Craft Mk III *2 Royal Navy Patrol Launch (RNPL) *2 Survey Motor Boat S Class *1 Tampa *1 Total 67 This list is not exhaustive and subject to change as boats go in and out of service. The scope can broadly be expected to include: • Scheduled preventative maintenance, • Reactive maintenance, defect rectification, and repair, • Mid Life Upgrades, • Replacement and/or replenishment of existing boat classes with boats of the same class, or a suitable second-hand alternative, • On-site support, • Supply of spares, • Post Design Services (PDS), • Testing and trials, • Configuration, obsolescence, and documentation management, • Chartering • Support to Safety and Environmental Cases • Storage and Transportation

Overarching BISS 26 requirement - The Boats team is responsible for maintaining worldwide delivery of safe, capable and available craft to a diverse user community (Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army, MOD Police, UKSTRATCOM, Permanent Joint Operating Bases (PJOB), Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA), Cadets) thus enabling them to carry out their endorsed tasking in roles relating to maritime operations, responsive force, adaptive force, extended readiness and training, as well as Adventurous Training and Cadet Forces. The Boats portfolio consists of circa 3,000 craft across 100 classes.
