From September 2025, the Council will be seeking to award new contracts for the next five years. All 3 and 4 year olds will have access to up to 10 hours of Early Years Education per week during term time. The new funding formula implemented in April 2024 5 GBP per hour per child. The provision will be split into catchment area lots. If you have the intention to bid for more than one setting under either a single lot or under more than one lot, please ensure the applications are kept separate. The Council intends to let a pseudo framework agreement under Regulations 74 to 77 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 Light Touch Regime. The Council is awarding a framework, which allows flexibility while complying with Treaty principles of transparency and equal treatment of providers. The Council may decide in future to re-open the framework to allow providers to join, should the Council need to meet demand.
