Description

FirstGroup seeks tenders for the provision of supplies of natural gas and REGO-backed electricity, Meter Operator and Data Collector (DC) / Data Aggregator (DA) services to the estates of FirstGroup's rail business and Affiliates. The estimated annual consumption of all current entities is 55 GWhs per annum for electricity and 1.25 million Therms for gas. FirstGroup expects to award contracts for the entities for a minimum 36 month period with an optional 24 month extension. The gas contracts are expected to commence on 01/07/2025. The electricity contracts are expected to commence on 01/10/2025. Prospective Tenderers are advised that the new government has indicated its intention to bring all Train Operating Company contracts back under public control as and when they expire which means there may be a change in the number of entities being contracted between the contract notice publication and award/signature. Lot Division

1 The Provision of Metered Natural Gas

Lot 1 is for the supply of metered natural gas to sites across the estates of FirstGroup's rail businesses with an estimated annual consumption of 39 GWh. The intention is to award a contract 2+1 term. The contract is expected to commence 01/07/2025. This Lot may be awarded individually and may not be awarded if Lot 3 is awarded. 2 The Provision of Half-Hourly & Non-Half-Hourly Metered Electricity and Support Services

Lot 2 is for the supply of metered, REGO-backed, electricity, Meter Operator and Data Collector (DC) / Data Aggregator (DA) services to the estates of FirstGroup's rail business and Affiliates with an estimated annual consumption of 55 GWh. The intention is to award a contract 3+2 term. The contract is expected to commence 01/10/2025. This Lot may be awarded individually or may not be awarded in event Lot 3 is awarded. 3 The Provision of Metered Natural Gas & Half-Hourly & Non-Half-Hourly Metered Electricity & Support Services

Lot 3 is for the supply of natural gas and metered, REGO-backed, electricity, Meter Operator and Data Collector (DC) / Data Aggregator (DA) services to the estates of FirstGroup's rail business and Affiliates and is a combination of Lot 1 and 2. The intention is to award contracts for a 3+2 term. The contracts are expected to commence on gas - 01/07/2025 and electricity - 01/10/2025.
