Description

The Authority wishes to establish an Agreement for the provision of a creative/artistic exhibit for the Cell Storybox. This exciting new commission is part of a project making amendments to an existing gallery and provides an opportunity to have a lasting impact in a national museum gallery, which receives millions of visitors per year. The scope of this work is for the design, development, prototyping, producing, delivery and warranty support for a creative commission (the 'Cell Storybox'). The Cell Storybox sits within the Cell Network section (see above for details) of the Information Age gallery. This section focuses on the cellular network, from its development in the 1980s to smartphones and data on the move. The Cell Storybox commission is for a new creative installation on the themes outlined. Submissions should encompass the entire semi-enclosed 3005 x 4810mm footprint. Its height to the underside of the mezzanine walkway is 2435mm, and 5060mm for the double-height space. Commissions should consider the whole space and allow for painting, seating, etc within the budget. The Museum will retain editorial control over the outputs via a collaborative process.
