Description

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham have awarded a contract for a chair of an upcoming domestic homicide review. They will need to: Work with and report to the Community Safety Partnership - Work with the Review Panel to agree a Terms of Reference for the process. - Liaise and consult with all agencies involved in the process as well as family members and support networks of the victim/perpetrator. - Offer family, friends and support networks of the subjects of the review the opportunity to contribute towards the DHR process. - Chair all Review Panel and other meetings relating to the particular DHR process. - Support, and where appropriate challenge, Individual Management Review (IMR) authors. - Fully consider all Equality and Diversity issues including; race, gender, sexual orientation and any differences in treatment by agencies. - Work with the Review Panel to ensure that the report accurately and comprehensively reflects the issues Page 15 and themes relating to a particular case. - Provide analysis of IMRs which will form the main body of the overview report and ensure lessons to be learnt are identified and SMART recommendations made for improving practice, as well as recognising good practice. - Insofar as possible meet statutory deadlines as provided in Home Office guidance on DHRs unless delays have been agreed as a result of the any criminal proceedings or other reason agreed by the Review Panel and Community Safety Partnership - Complete and Respond to any Home Office requirements of their scrutiny until the Overview Report is judged by the Home Office to be satisfactory and approved for publication. - Consider all parallel reviews and where appropriate, effective information sharing processes or jointly commissioned review arrangements have been agreed
