Description
The University currently contracts with Skills for Health, a not for profit company, to deliver all of our mandatory e-learning courses for Health Care Students going out onto placements and tracks the students progress and in turn support the learners and report on compliance. Oxford Brookes University has introduced a new training course, which necessitates extending the existing services for food hygiene certification provided by Skills for Health. This extension will cover the new course and its associated services, in accordance with the original contract terms. This decision follows the requirements for transparency and is made in the best interests of continuity and efficiency in the delivery of services to students. The University will go out to market once this contract has concluded.
Total Quantity or Scope
Oxford Brookes University have a requirement to train students that are enrolling on a new dietry course in Food Hygiene Level 2. We already have a supplier in place that can deliver this course which will give continuity and ease of use for our students. The University currently contracts with Skills for Health, a not for profit company, to deliver all of our mandatory e-learning courses for Health Care Students going out onto placements and tracks the students progress and in turn support the learners and report on compliance. Oxford Brookes University has introduced a new training course, which necessitates extending the existing services for food hygiene level 2 certification provided by Skills for Health. Due to the academic year already being well into Semester 1, and in order to ensure uninterrupted access, administrative continuity, and a smooth process for students, OBU has determined that it is most efficient to extend the services to include this additional scope under the current contract with Skills for Health for the remainder of its term. This extension will cover the new course and its associated services, in accordance with the original contract terms.A change of supplier would oblige the University to face disproportionate difficulties in continuing to operate the current e-learning courses. Therefore, this decision follows the requirements for transparency and is made in the best interests of continuity and efficiency in the delivery of services to students. The University will go out to market once this contract has concluded.
