Description

The Authority is seeking Tender response for Access Control/Automated Security Gate Maintenance and related services as it operate a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year operation and we are required to always maintain the security of our Fire Stations and other premises. The automated vehicle security gates play an important part in maintaining this security and, as such, we require a speedy and reliable response to any breakdown or failure of the gates and Head Quarters from reception door. The gates open and close without guidance from either top or bottom tracks utilising a secondary drive system to the outer section of the leaf. When the gate is closed the two leaf sections of each bi-folding set are in a straight line with the leading-edge roller located in the receptor plate in the middle of the road. The gates are operated via key gob security access control externally, linked to the central security system. There are two fob readers at each entrance, at low level to suit car entry and at high level to suit fire appliances. There is also an intercom system into the site so that the gates can be operated remotely and manually operated button. In the vents of a power failure the gates can be manually operated. An open tender was released on the In-Tend portal on 19th September 2024.
