Description

This procurement process is for the contract for EV Charging Hubs / Infrastructure Management.

Lot Division

1 Operation & Expansion of Hubs & Depot Charging
  • Value: £46M

Lot 1 - is in relation to the operation of the existing charging hubs in Dundee and the expansion of this to include the delivery of a new rapid charging hub to the north of the city and an increase in charging hubs within council depots. Additional information: Contract value of 46,000,000 GBP (and the tender price) is based upon an estimate of the gross income to be collected by the provider over the term of the contract. The amount retained by the provider after returning the electricity costs and the named revenue share to the Council is estimated to be 17,000,000 GBP over the term of the contract. Please note these are estimates only.

2 On-Street & Community Infrastructure
  • Value: £7M

Lot 2 - is in relation to the installation and operation of the charge points to be installed as part of the Transport Scotland (TS) Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund (EVIF). Additional information: Contract value of 7,000,000 GBP (and the tender price) is based upon an estimate of the gross income to be collected by the provider over the term of the contract. The amount retained by the provider after returning the electricity costs and the named revenue share to the Council is estimated to be 2,500,000 GBP over the term of the contract. Please note these are estimates only.

Renewal Options

The contract will be for a period of 20 years, with break clauses at years 10 and 15. The break clauses will only be invoked by mutual consent of the contractor and Dundee City Council.
