Description

The Council's intention is to apply to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a project to the approximate value of up to £10 million. The Council submitted an Expression of Interest in July 2024 which was favourably received by the National Lottery and have now recommended that Norwich City Council make a formal application for the Development Stage, to be submitted by August 2025. This ITT is for the appointment of a multi-disciplinary consultancy (Landscape architect / architect / cost consultant) to provide the information and carry out the required works to enable the application to be made.

Total Quantity or Scope

Norwich City Council is proposing to rejuvenate 22 of its historic parks and open spaces, ranging from Grade II listed Wensum Park, Heigham Park, Mile Cross Gardens, Chapelfield Gardens, Grade II* Rosary Cemetery, to several smaller spaces such as James Stuart Gardens and Ketts Heights. We have also included several of our natural green spaces such as Marston Marshes, Earlham Marsh and Twenty Acre Woods. This is an initiative we have called 'Green Spaces - Better Places: Regenerating Norwich's Historic Parks and Green Spaces for Ecology, Communities, Culture & Climate'.
