Funded ELC will consist of education and care which is suitable for eligible children, and will take regard of the importance of interactions, spaces and experiences that support their learning and development. Children accessing Funded ELC will be offered a free meal.

While the total lifetime value of the flexible framework will exceed GBP 4,000,000 it is anticipated that between 50 and 60 providers will deliver Funded ELC in Angus with individual provider contracts valued at between GBP 10,000 and GBP 2,500,000 over five years. The authority makes no guarantee that Funded ELC will be taken up with any provider. Up take is parent/carer led, with parents/carers selecting their preferred provider from the approved list based on their needs and the needs of their children.
