Other Information
Intending to award Echocardiography insourcing contract to Xyla Health & Wellbeing. Following direct award process C. Title : Insourcing for Echocardiography Reference: C327194 Xyla Health & Wellbeing Turnford Place, Great Cambridge Road, Turnford, Broxbourne EN10 6NH This application is to provide additional British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) qualified echosonographers within the echocardiography service. CF-CPV-32895 6 month contract - £102,960 Joe Marshall, Clinical Manager, Cardio-Respiratory Dept, CRH 10th December 2024 Quality of service delivered is paramount. Xyla are able to provide BSE qualified and undertake their own audit and quality control of staff, to ensuring that these high standards are maintained. The complant also ensure all sonographers are >2 years post qulification to ensure only experienced staff are available. Xyla are able to provide one member of staff for five days/week providing 55 scans/week. This additional capacity will support the improvement of the echo services position as a result of a depleted substantive workforce and increased service demand. No Conflict of interest identified, Improving diagnostic activity for echocardiography will ensure that patient care will be optimised. Patients will receive their diagnostic test within a timely manner in line with NICE and the Bristish Society of Echocardiography (BSE guidelines). This will ensure that patients have access to faster diagnosis and ongoing conidition management including surgical interventions and cancer therapy.
