Description

Jisc Services Limited is entering into a contract with Oxford University Press (OUP). This agreement provides access to the complete Oxford Medicine Online medical eBook collection plus access to Oxford Clinical Psychology. This agreement is open to institutions with a medical school that also wishes to extend access to their associated trusts (where the institution can sign the licence). OUP is the sole rightsholder and supplier of this resource. This contract is for use by Jisc Members only and not for Jisc's own use.

Legal Justification

The supplier is the rightsholder to the IP of the content and the sole supplier of this unique resource. Therefore, Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32 (2) (b) (iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.
