Description
This scheme is to provide six supported accommodation units for people with mental health issues.
Total Quantity or Scope
The three Intermediate Housing Units (IHUs) Octavia House, Brigid House, Alexander House provide short term (approximately nine months) step-down supported accommodation for people being discharged from the Becklin and Newsam Centres, following detention under the Mental Health Act 1983 and 2007 respectively. East Grange Drive is commissioned to provide move-on accommodation and support for people leaving the Intermediate Housing Units. The Maltings and Rose Villa provide medium term accommodation and support for people leaving hospital. Referrals for these services come from the acute wards via the Accommodation Gateway, which is a Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust (LYPFT) managed function. These services form an integral and essential part of the hospital discharge pathway in Leeds, and are an important resource used by the acute wards to ensure move-on and flow out of hospital
