Description

Procurement of Ion Chromatography (IC) Instrument. Ion chromatography is the separation and detection of ions - a fundamental ice-core analytical technique. IC analysis is a part of our National Capability services for the analysis of ice core and snow samples from the polar regions. This instrument will have two analytical systems - one for negatively charged anions, and one for positively charged cations. The two systems will be fed from an autosampler (an already owned asset), which allows the simultaneous high-resolution analysis of anions and cations of ice core samples.
