Description

The Bank of England has a requirement for the provision of catering services at three of its sites, London EC2R 8AH, London EC2R 6DA and Loughton IG10 3TN.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Bank agreed on 12 May and 2 July 2020 to variations in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(c) to pay Elior financial relief related to the Covid-19 situation. The total amount agreed was GBP 919 995 (excl. VAT) covering the period of March to September 2020 (7 months). Given fewer services were received during this period, the net change in contract value over this period is estimated to be +GBP 190 349 (excl. VAT). This amendment to the award notice was dispatched on 30 July 2020, however, was not published due to a system error. The Bank further agreed on 23 November 2020 to variations in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(c) to pay Elior financial relief related to the Covid-19 situation. The total amount agreed was GBP 474 923 (excl. VAT) covering the period of October 2020 to February 2021 (5 months). Given fewer services were received during this period, the net change in contract value over this period is estimated to be +GBP 153 468 (excl. VAT). This amendment to the award notice was dispatched on 9 December 2020, however, was not published due to a system error. The value in ‘Section V. Award of contract’ was the estimated contract value at contract signature and does not include the values above.
