Jisc has entered into a contract with American Society of Civil Engineers for access to The complete ASCE Journals Collection which is recognised worldwide as a core collection in the field and provides researchers and practitioners with the latest civil engineering research and its application.

Legal Justification
The agreement is for content that the supplier has ownership of through Intellectual Property Rights. Therefore Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the area of rights and intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32(2) (b) (iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.
Other Information
The contract value is an estimate based on the aggregate sum of the licence fees that will be paid to the supplier by Jisc member institutions; Jisc Collections itself makes no payment to the supplier for this service.
