Lot Division
1 | CD1326a UASC Accomodation (HMO) (COVID response)
As a result of the pandemic the Home Office has not continued the level of interviews for asylum seekers, therefore there is a large increase in the number of UASC young people turning 18 without a decision due to a backlog. SCC currently has 48 young people post 18 without a decision, where we still have a responsibility to provide accommodation. To support these young people in the best way possible SCC are intending to deliver a contracted HMO service. Due to the urgency contract/s will be awarded subject to Regulation 32(1) of the Public Contracts Regulations. The advertised total value of £624,000 is the total value of both lots. |
2 | CD1326b UASC Accomodation Service (COVID response)
As a result of the pandemic, Suffolk County Council are looking to support Kent County Council and Portsmouth County Councils with the pressures of increased unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) young people in these local authorities. To support these additional numbers, SCC are wishing to commission a third provider to our current UASC supported independent living contracts. We require small shared housing arrangements with a low level of support over 2021. Due to the urgency the Contract will be awarded subject to Regulation 32(1) of the Public Contracts Regulations. The contract will be for the period of 12 months with the option to extend for up to a further 12 month period. The advertised total value of £624,000 is the total value of both lots. |
