Legal Justification
The order is for two specialist ultrasound equipment simulators, which together provide a teaching and learning experience that we do not have in any other form and have no way to generate without purchasing this equipment. 'BodyWorks Eve' is a realistic female patient simulator for Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) training in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care scenarios and 'ScanTrainer' offers curriculum-based teaching with real patient scans and haptic feedback. The ultrasound facilitators will need to access this equipment and use it within timetabled sessions; the students will also need to access it between sessions as part of their routine self-directed learning. This is the only company that supply these simulators and have sent letters of proof.
