Description

The Authority requires Diesel fuel (DIESO MT (NATO Code F-54) complying with BS EN 590 (latest issue)) to be supplied into the Authority's Bulk Fuel Carrying Vehicles (BFCVs) or Deployable Bulk Fuel Installations (DBFIs) in order to provide fuel support to military exercises. It is anticipated that the requirement for filling the Authority's vehicles will be met by the Supplier's vehicles delivering fuel directly into the Authority's vehicles at a site that offers suitable security, accessibility and environmental protection.

Total Quantity or Scope

The supplies must be carried out on 9 training sites situated across the UK - details of these sites will be provided as part of the tender documentation. Legal Justification

The Defence Fuels Acquisition Programme (DFAP) intends to place a Contract with Certas UK Limited for the Provision of Ground Fuel (Diesel) to fulfil Army training requirements, using the Negotiated procedure without Prior Publication. The Contract will run for a period of two (2) firm years and one (1) option year and is valued at approximately £1.3M. On 16 January 2021 DFAP advertised a contract notice indicating a call for competition for this requirement. Responses to the call for competition were required by 16 February 2021. No responses were received to the call for competition. Given no tenders were submitted in response to the competitive procedure, DFAP intends to place this contract pursuant to regulation 32(2)(a) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
