The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring the suspended solids in crude sewage, settled sewage, mixed liquors and final effluent in wastewater applications and clarifier and clarifier desludging applications in water treatment processes. |
4 | Water Treatment Analysers (Iron, Aluminium & Manganese)
The instrument shall be capable of measuring the concentration of either dissolved or total acid soluble iron, aluminium and manganese in natural waters, and a residual coagulant in partially treated and final potable water. |
5 | Waste Water Iron Analysers
The instrument shall be capable of measuring the concentration of either dissolved or total acid soluble iron in final effluent in wastewater applications. |
6 | Dissolved Oxygen Monitors & Sludge Blanket Depth/Interface detectors
The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring the concentration of dissolved oxygen in sewage plant effluent and in the mixed liquor of an activated sludge plant. |
7 | Nutrient Analysers
The instrument shall be capable of measuring phosphate or ammonium in crude sewage, settled or partially treated sewage, mixed liquors and final effluent |
8 | Level Switches – Conductive UV Monitors
Primarily the instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring transmissivity in potable water applications including UV irradiation. Primarily the instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring transmissivity in waste water treatment applications including UV irradiation. |
9 | Level Switches – Conductive
The aim of this procurement process is to set up mandatory kit framework agreements with suppliers who are capable of supplying and delivering any number of the 22 monitoring and control instrumentation lots outlined. The mandatory kit framework agreements will be used by both United Utilities Water (UUW) for replacement equipment, spares and consumables as well as a number of UUW appointed parties who are mandated to engage directly with our kit framework providers to deliver work. |
10 | Level – Hydrostatic Head
The level transmitter shall be capable of inferring liquid level measurement by means of hydrostatic head in a range of applications ranging from crude sewage to final effluent in wastewater applications and from raw water to potable water in water applications. Instruments will be required for borehole level measurement applications and reservoir depth measurement applications. Applications may include requirements for rod or rope type instrument versions. |
11 | Level – Ultrasonic
The ultrasonic and radar level measurement transmitters shall be capable of detecting liquid level in a range of applications ranging from crude sewage to final effluent in wastewater applications and from raw water to potable water in water applications. Additionally instruments will be required to monitor chemical level in storage tanks containing a wide range of chemicals found in the water and wastewater treatment processes e.g. Ferric Sulphate, Sulphuric Acid etc. Open channel flow (by ultrasonic or radar) to be used for flow measurement including for the Company MCerts applications. |
12 | Level - Radar
The ultrasonic and radar level measurement transmitters shall be capable of detecting liquid level in a range of applications ranging from crude sewage to final effluent in wastewater applications and from raw water to potable water in water applications. Additionally instruments will be required to monitor chemical level in storage tanks containing a wide range of chemicals found in the water and wastewater treatment processes e.g. Ferric Sulphate, Sulphuric Acid etc. Open channel flow (by ultrasonic or radar) to be used for flow measurement including for the Company MCerts applications. |
13 | Level - Open Channel
The ultrasonic and radar level measurement transmitters shall be capable of detecting liquid level in a range of applications ranging from crude sewage to final effluent in wastewater applications and from raw water to potable water in water applications. Additionally instruments will be required to monitor chemical level in storage tanks containing a wide range of chemicals found in the water and wastewater treatment processes e.g. Ferric Sulphate, Sulphuric Acid etc. Open channel flow (by ultrasonic or radar) to be used for flow measurement including for the Company MCerts applications. |
14 | Electromagnetic Flowmeters
The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring flow in raw water, partially treated water and final treated water in potable water treatment, and in crude sewage, final effluent and sewage sludge including MCert applications. Instruments are required for chemical dosing applications for a range of chemicals found in the water and wastewater treatment processes. |
15 | Area Velocity Flowmeters
The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring flow in raw water, partially treated water and final treated water in potable water treatment, and in crude sewage, final effluent and sewage sludge including MCert applications. |
16 | Clamp on Flowmeter – Ultrasonic Flow
The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring flow in raw water, partially treated water and final treated water in potable water treatment, and in crude sewage, final effluent and sewage sludge including MCert applications. The applications may be single sensor applications or multipath sensor arrays, with multiple paths (up to 4) connecting into one signal converter. |
17 | Thermal Mass Gas Flowmeters
The instrument(s) shall be capable of measuring the mass flow of gasses in wastewater treatment such as air and biogas. These applications can either be closed pipe applications or insertion type. |
18 | Temperature & Pressure Monitors
The temperature transmitter shall be capable of measuring temperature in a range of applications ranging from crude sewage to final effluent in wastewater applications and from raw water to potable water in water applications |
19 | MCert Compliant Samplers
