The Sharps Disposal Protection Unit is a sharps safety product for disarming sharps with an integrated blade remover and enables the safe counting, storage and disposal of contaminated sharps in a surgical environment.
Renewal Options
Options for further extension periods; a) a period or periods together totalling no more than 24 months and, or b) further period(s) of up to a maximum 18 months in the circumstances described in Clause 2.3 of the SS17bc Commercial Conditions of Contract for Supplies Contracts)

The value in II.2.6 has been calculated to include all extension options and accounts for a potential increase in demand for the supply by 50 percent. It is not a guarantee of uptake or minimum demand. In section 1.2, it is stated that this procurement is a joint procedure and contract award is by a CentralPurchasing Body. This contract is not a joint contract, it is a Central Purchasing Body Contract operated by BSOPaLS on behalf of the participants listed in section 1.1. The value in II.1.5 has been calculated to include all extensionoptions and accounts for a potential increase in demand for the supply by 50 percent. It is not a guarantee of uptake or minimum demand.
