Description
NHS Supply Chain has established a non-exclusive Framework Agreement (FAG) for supply of Hearing Aid Batteries to NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stock route. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 4.5 million to GBP 5 million in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The estimated value over the total framework agreement term (including any extension options (2 + 2 year term) is GBP 20 000 000.

The products within this lot are hearing aid batteries for the NHS for the use in NHS patients hearing aids hearing aid batteries include: R70 zinc air size 10, R48 zinc air size 13, R41 zinc air size 312, R44 zinc air size 675 and R44 zinc air size 675 for cochlear implants.

Evaluation was carried out on a product line by product line for each of the mandatory 5 product lines within the basket. All suppliers who met the minimum requirements as set out in the Invitation to Tender and whose total score for the lot met or exceeded the hurdle of 65 % were awarded to the framework agreement.
