Description
The procurement requirement is for Laboratory Equipment, Year 3 (both the purchase of, installation, warranties, annual maintenance service and training). This equipment is a key component of the project to allow Lab staff and technicians in delivering good teaching and operations at the University of Birmingham Dubai (UOBD). The overreaching project vision is to source and provide the necessary equipment from approved supplier, in line with academics teaching and training requirements that can deliver quality, robust, value for money equipment and provide a first class delivery, installation and warranted service to the highest standards. All the kit requirements are specialist, bespoke sets of Laboratory equipment pieces. The equipment needs to be maintained and any faults rectified within any given 24-hour period to allow for academic teaching and training to remain in-situ. The equipment is currently in place within University of Birmingham Edgbaston campus in the UK. The equipment requirements need to match in Dubai specifically to that already in place in Birmingham to allow a consistent approach to training and teaching by the academics on both sites.
