The Authority reserves the right to add items of repair of a similar nature to the contract during its lifetime.

Legal Justification

It is considered that this Contract can be placed using the Negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations 2011 for technical reasons. Davall Gears Limited is the OEM for this item and holds the exclusive rights to the design drawings, technical specifications and technical expertise (“technical knowhow”) for the Hand Traverse Gearbox. Davall Gears is the OEM for this item and no other party has access to the information necessary to repair the item required by the UK Ministry of Defence. This notice is not a request for expressions of interest so please do not apply to be invited to tender.
