Description
United Utilities is currently undertaking market research/pre-market engagement and would be interested in hearing from suppliers who are able to provide water efficiency products; the ordering and fulfilment service and/or water efficiency audits, as outlined within the description of the procurement. United Utilities will then use this information to help determine the overall approach and future strategy in relation to an upcoming tender. Any subsequent procurement will be advertised at a later date via a separate notice.
Total Quantity or Scope
United Utilities (UU) is inviting bidders to participate in this Periodic Indicative Notice for the provision of water efficiency products and services for customers. Supplier responding to this notice must be able to provide any or all of list of services outlined below: 1. Water efficiency Devices a) Products and stock management – sourcing and supply of WRAS approved water efficiency devices. Supplier must also be able to store and manage the stock. b) Ordering and fulfilment – provision of a customer online ordering service, provision of service supplier (if applicable) ordering service and processing and fulfilment of orders. c) Reporting - provision of reporting to track orders and stock, and also to improve the service and promotion. d) Customer service – deal with enquiries about products and delivery. 2. Domestic Water Efficiency Audits – To provide water audits for United Utilities customers’ in the North West. Water audits are an important part of the water efficiency programme as United Utilities go into metered customers homes (or via a virtual offering) to fit water efficiency device, identify and fix internal leaks. This gives the company an opportunity to speak to customers to let them know how they can reduce their water use. 3. Energy sector collaboration - We would also like to be able to collaborate with the Energy sector to offer a joint funded home water and energy audit. This type of audit will assist customers to help them with affordability and become water and energy efficient. This means it will potentially save the customers more on their bill and enhance our offering to the customer. This is not something that is yet underway and we would like this offering to be available. The supplier must be able to provide secure storage for data and demonstrate compliance with data protection legislation.
