Description
Term maintenance contract for the delivery of hard services throughout the Science Museum Group.
Total Quantity or Scope
The Science Museum Group wishes to procure a term maintenance hard services contract to provide for national cover for our six sites. This procurement process is being conducted using the competitive procedure with negotiation (Negotiated Procedure) as set out in the Public Contracts Regulations (2015). The Science Museum Group has chosen to use the Negotiated Procedure based on the complexity of the sites and the services to be provided where the variety of service solutions provided may mean it proves useful to allow a discussion between the tenderer and the buyer. The Science Museum Group reserves the right to award a contract based on the initial tenders without negotiation.

Other Information
The Science Museum Group requires a hard services partner to provide maintenance services across six strategic premises within its estate. The minimum requirements for this procurement are: — must cover all services listed in the tender (PPM, remedial, reactive, planned and maintenance project work), — must cover all SMG locations listed in the tender, — must include on-site technical/engineering support at each site, — must score a minimum overall score of 50 % in the Schedule 4 (Solution) section. Bids will be evaluated on the basis of best value: a combination of price and technical solution. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and Government guidelines, the Science Museum Group (SMG) has closed its sites to the public and for its operations. In doing so, SMG has taken the decision to only proceed to Stage Two of the procurement once normal service resumes. (MT Ref:222577)
