Description

The main objective of this commission is the provision of removal contractor services in connection with the Ulster University planned relocation from its existing Jordanstown campus to the new Greater Belfast Development (GBD) scheduled for Quarter 3 of 2021 together with relocations within the existing Belfast campus to support the final 2021 locations. All relocations must be completed by early September 2021 to coincide with the start of the academic year.

Total Quantity or Scope

The contract is for the provision of a removal contractor to ulster University to relocate staff, furniture and equipment, from operational buildings in Jordanstown to Greater Belfast Development (GBD) facilities in York Street, Belfast (part of the newly constructed Ulster University Campus). There are also some minor relocations from Block BB, an occupied block, within the Belfast Campus. The removal contractor will be responsible for developing and completing the cataloguing of equipment, stock and PC's and determine the processes for disconnection and dismantling (as necessary), packaging, storing and relocating to new locations in Block BD, BC and Block BB, unpacking, rebuilding as necessary, and completing reconnections. There are a number of new furniture items recently purchased by the University. These items are to be relocated from Jordanstown to the new Belfast Campus by the removal contractor. The removal contractor will be required to work closely with the relocation management consultant (RMC) and co-ordinate their work with other contractors and suppliers working in Block BD and Block BC at the same time.
