Description
VisitScotland intends to award a contract to a creative team led by Culture and Sport Glasgow to commission a programme of innovative and creative artistic works and performances to be delivered in Scotland in 2022. This forms part of a UK-wide festival of creativity and innovation in 2022, which has the working title Festival UK* 2022.
Total Quantity or Scope
VisitScotland intends to award a contract to a creative team led by Culture and Sport Glasgow (the "Creative Team") to commission a programme of innovative and creative artistic works and performances to be delivered in Scotland in 2022 (the "Project"). The Project has been selected by VisitScotland and forms part of a UK-wide festival of creativity and innovation in 2022, which has the working title Festival UK* 2022 (the "Festival"). The Festival is being curated, managed and promoted by Festival 2022 Limited in collaboration with VisitScotland, Creative Wales and Belfast City Council and is funded by the UK Government, the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Legal Justification
VisitScotland has followed the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notioce or prior information notice, on the basis that the relevant services can be provided only by the selected Creative Team for the reason that the aim of the procurement is the creation or acquisition of a unique work of art or artistic performance (being the grounds for use of this procedure as set out in Regulation 33(1)(b)(i) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015). The Project that is to be delivered by the Creative Team will comprise of a programme of innovative and creative artistic works and performances, which falls within the definition of a unique work of art or artistic performance for the purposes of Regulation 33(1)(b)(i).

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** The contractor identified in section V.2.3 is the lead party in the Creative Team that will deliver the Project. Given the nature of the Project, the members of the Creative Team involved in the Project is subject to change from time to time, but as at the date of this notice the Creative Team is expected to also include (but not be limited to) the following parties: Celtic Connections, Aproxima Arts, Sustrans, BEMIS Scotland, Wraptheworld, Celtic Connections, Fèis Rois, getMade design, James Hutton Institute, Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) plus individually named creatives. The Creative Team may form a corporate vehicle for delivery of the Project, and such corporate vehicle may be the party to the commissioning contract for the Project. This notice has been published prior to VisitScotland entering to a commissioning contract in respect of the Project. VisitScotland will observe a minimum period of 10 days from the date of publication of this notice before entering into a commissioning contract in respect of the Project. Contract Value: The operating sum is 8,000,000GBP with 500,000GBP held in reserve by Scottish Government.
