Total Quantity or Scope

The successful supplier will be required to provide catering services for schools within The Partnership Learning Trust and for Dagenham Park Church of England School. There are ten schools in total included within this catering contract opportunity: Schools within the Partnership Learning Trust: 1) Sydney Russell Primary School; 2) Sydney Russell Secondary School; 3) Riverside Primary School; 4) Riverside Secondary School; 5) Riverside Community Special School; 6) Greatfields School; 7) Hornchurch High School; 8) Thames View Juniors; 9) George Mitchell School. There is a tenth school included within this project that is looking to benefit from opportunities of scale passed on from a single contracted solution across the service delivery, that is outside of the Trust and will form a separate contract: 10) Dagenham Park Church of England School. The Partnership Learning Trust (PLT) Partnership Learning’s established secondary school, Sydney Russell, is rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and is designated as a teaching school and national support school. Having been approved to open three Free schools, the Trust now aims to deploy its proven leadership and teaching strategies to transform failing schools, ensuring that all their pupils thrive within well-structured and aspirational environments. We understand the key role of a sponsor in taking responsibility for driving improvement and challenging under-performance, whilst supporting school leaders through effective use of the Trust’s overall financial and human resources. Our ethos aims to maximise social mobility, giving our pupils the same opportunities as their most favoured peers – outstanding teaching, schools organised around the ability profile of their pupils and wide-ranging enrichment activities to develop confidence and resilience. We believe learning is most effective when students are taught with others of similar ability, so we group pupils by prior attainment in three discrete pathways, enabling a differentiated curriculum within which teachers adjust their pace and style to ensure all pupils make rapid progress towards challenging academic targets. We have particular expertise in providing outstanding outcomes within disadvantaged communities, although we believe our approach works across the socio-economic spectrum. We relish Academy freedoms, particularly the opportunity to utilise flexible operating hours to provide extensive extra-curricular activities and summer schools. We seek, nevertheless, to work within local families of schools to achieve positive outcomes for all young people. Please see the SQ document for more information.
