Description

Reablement is a specialised short-term service that focusses on supporting people to regain ability and confidence to look after themselves and is usually offered in the home following illness or injury. It allows residents to remain independent in their own home for as long as possible. The aims of the reablement service are to prevent the need for long term care and support, prevent admission or readmission to hospital and delay or prevent the need for residential/nursing care.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Services come under Chapter 3, Section 7 (Social and Other Specific Services) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Under Regulation 76, Camden Council may determine the procedure to be applied in connection with the award of the Contracts. The process being considered is a one stage process similar to the Open procedure with evaluation being against selection criteria and award criteria. Contracts will be awarded on the basis of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender. Tenderers will be limited to being awarded one contract, irrespective if they have the highest scoring Tender for both Lots.
