Description

The scope of this contract will be to undertake the first phase of the discovery work that is required to develop a comprehensive, co-produced capability framework that will underpin a training curriculum for the implementation of Autism Peer Support roles. This discovery work will be the most important phase of this project and will require a contractor to work closely with the commissioning body. The contractor will be required to design and implement a national engagement strategy to gather information from stakeholders at all levels that will be key to identifying the unique knowledge and skills to deliver peer support to autistic people successfully. The contractor will be expected to lead the strategy development in consultation with HEE and a core project group and will be required to ensure its implementation, identifying, and engaging with key stakeholders and developing the project outputs. It is expected that the successful contractor will adopt a co-produced approach to the design and delivery of this work. The outcomes of this work will be used to guide the next part of the process of developing a comprehensive capability framework which will be to map the autism specific knowledge elements with known generic peer support skills. The contractor will not need to identify these wider generic peer support skills as part of this engagement process.
