Indicators
- Contract modified due to unforeseen circumstances.
Legal Justification
These modifications are made under the provisions set out in Regulation 72 (1) (c) (i), (ii) and (iii). Procurement Policy Note — Responding to Covid-19 PPN 01/20 (pp 6-7) also refers. The need for contract modification has been brought about by the circumstances of Covid-19 which have meant resources in the contracting authority have been redirected to efforts to support front line health and social care activities, including direct care for patients and efforts to support supply chain activities. As a result, scheduled re-tendering activity is being delayed while the current circumstances are present. While there are planned measures for disruption to normal business activities, the scale of the impact of Covid-19 and the uncertain duration could not have been foreseen by the contracting authority.
Other Information
The current contract 541154 is to be extended by a further period of up to a maximum of 6 months.
