Description

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking to commission a new tier 2 weight management service to support adults in Hertfordshire who are obese to lose weight and to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. The programme will need to demonstrate how it addresses health inequalities by focusing on key priority groups who are often at more at risk of obesity and who find it harder to access traditional adult weight management services such as people with learning/physical disabilities, BAME communities as well as other groups such as people with severe mental health issues and men. The new service will be procured under a single procurement process. The Council welcomes tenders from single providers, from identified consortia, and from lead providers with appropriate sub-contracting arrangements. The Contractor will be expected to undertake a mobilisation period for the Service, as per paragraph 1.4 (Mobilisation) of the ITT and for the new Service to be live on 7th May 2022.
