Total Quantity or Scope

“Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is a joint trading name of both LLW Repository Limited (LLWR) and Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM). NWS is a division of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) which includes RWM and LLWR. NWS is not a legal entity but provides strategic oversight over the operation and development of these businesses through a management board governance structure. Further information on NWS can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/nuclear-waste-services/about NWS is proceeding with a significant civil engineering project to fill and make safe a waste disposal area for the long-term environmental protection. This project is based at the LLW Repository facility near Drigg Village in Cumbria, England. Further information is contained within the Project Brief which can be accessed via the Documents area of the CTM eSourcing system. To facilitate a successful outcome for this project there is a requirement to engage a Main Contractor to collaborate with NWS in delivering the scope. The estimated value of the works is between £140 and £180 million and is anticipated to take between 8 and 10 years. As a key aspect of achieving this, NWS is looking to provide the market with information about, and seek feedback on, the technical, logistics and commercial aspects of the project. To do so a Market Engagement Event will be held in a virtual forum (expected to be Microsoft Teams) on 22nd March 2022, at which information will be shared and feedback will be requested. If this opportunity may be of interest to your organisation, please provide a response confirming this via a CTM message by 7th March 2022 along with proposed attendee names and contact details.” Additional information: If you are interested in this project you will need to register for an account on CTM Sellafield Ltd (eu-supply.com) by clicking on “New Supplier Registration” which can be found on the left hand side.
