Description
The GDC has awarded a contract for a temporary Interim Digital Communications Manager. The purpose of the role is to maintain and develop content on our existing digital products while improving evaluation and our understanding of our users and their needs, which will be used to recommend and deliver some improvements in 2022 and then recommend and longer-term improvements to support the GDC's new Corporate Strategy from 2023. The role involves management of digital communication and engagement products that provide essential information and influential engagement to more than 100,000 dental professionals across the UK, external stakeholder organisations and the public. The General Dental Council's primary aim is to ensure patient safety and public confidence in dentistry through proportionate and effective healthcare regulation. Areas of Responsibility: - Manage the transition from current to new supplier of website hosting and maintenance, ensuring continuity of service and standards - Working with a supplier, contribute to the development of improved evaluation, understanding of user needs and journeys and recommendations for short-and long-term improvements to support our Corporate Strategy from 2023-2025 -Manage relationships with digital providers for the website and social media products and monitor budgets for digital maintenance and development - Work closely with the IT team on website security and updates - Ensure and agree a clear and prioritised pipeline of projects and work for the digital communication products, working with colleagues across the organisation to develop digital content that meets communication objectives -Undertake and oversee the publication of content on the GDC website and other digital channels, including social media, ensuring it is in keeping with GDC tone of voice and agreed key messaging -Input to the development and delivery of integrated communications and engagement plans -Analyse data and user behaviour on digital channels, including the website and social media, and use as evidence basis to develop content, demonstrate performance of digital channels and improve user experience.- -Monitor social media to gather intelligence about the wider issues that may affect the GDC.
