Description

Translink is responsible for both maintenance and capital works to infrastructure on the Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) network.

Total Quantity or Scope

The scope for the Framework will be the delivery of a broad range of professional services for rail infrastructure projects, including the following: Strategic network studies in relation to the Northern Ireland Railways network (e.g., examining potential enhancement projects or new technologies) Design services in relation to the following disciplines: Signalling and Telecoms (S&T) Electrification and Plant (E&P) Systems Permanent Way Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) Civils and Structural Undertaking the role of Lead Designer / Consultant on multi-disciplinary rail projects Cost estimating and benchmarking NEC Project Management / Supervision Suppliers will be required to have the capability to undertake all the scope items outlined above.

Translink wish to establish a long-term Rail Systems Professional Services framework and would like to invite expressions of interest from suppliers with a proven record in the delivery of professional services on complex multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects. If this is of interest please access the opportunity via the CfT on eTendersNI and complete the PME questionnaire. The anticipated duration of the framework is 4-8 years, and the anticipated value of the framework is circa £40 million. The NEC4 suite of contracts will be utilised. It is the intention that multiple suppliers will be appointed to the Framework, with work allocated either directly to framework suppliers or via secondary competition within the framework.
