Waste Treatment DPS for Bristol Waste Company. Waste Treatment to include all forms of waste treatment and recycling for multiple waste streams. Other South West Local Authorities may utilise this DPS (optional)

Household Waste Recycling Centre and Transfer Station Materials To include but not limited to metals, reuse items, oils, mattresses, textiles, batteries, carpets, tyres, bulky items, mechanical street sweepings, woods, green waste or other such materials that may be deposited by residents or businesses.
2 Kerbside Recycling Materials

Kerbside Recycling Materials To include but not limited to – Fibre products, metal container products, glass container products, oils, textiles, batteries, other packaging / consumer products.
3 Plastic Waste Material

Plastic Waste Materials To include mixed and separated - rigid plastics, films, containers (bottles and pot tubs and trays)
4 Residual Waste Treatments

Residual Waste Treatments To include, black bag waste, C&I residual wastes, bulky wastes, shredded wastes
5 Material Processing / Conversion

Material Processing / Conversion To include DMR, or other such waste streams that could be processed to improve quality, positive pick material or reduce contamination
6 Building & Construction Waste Materials

Building and Construction Waste Materials To include both domestic and commercial building and constructions wastes
7 Clinical & Hazardous Waste Material

Clinical & Hazardous Waste Materials To include but not limited to Hazardous Chemicals, gas bottles, clinical wastes, asbestos or other such hazardous materials

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Initially it is BWC's intention to use the DPS to procure its own requirements. Once the DPS is up and running, BWC may procure the Services on behalf of local authorities in the West of England, including but not limited to Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Where our West of England Authorities do choose to use the DPS, they will be contracted to Bristol Waste Company. Bristol Waste Company will conduct the further competition on their behalf and contract directly with the Supplier. For clarity Suppliers will only ever contract with BWC as part of this DPS.
